KK MP Office mysterious cement paved patch under scrutiny

By: Gee Tien Siong, Vice President of SAPP

Since the KK MP office was established at Taman Luyang Phase 3, a section of connecting public land originally used as open green space has been cement paved and used as a private parking space for the MP office.

Did the KK MP office carry out this conversion with or without DBKK approval?

Will the KK MP office and DBKK explain whether the paving was approved and the legal basis for converting public land into land for private use?

Will DBKK give the same treatment to other people who also want to convert their public or open space land for private car parking?

Recent photos taken of the newly converted car park show that even the children playground with swings and seesaw being blocked by vehicles thereby denying residents from using the playground.

The open space was also a popular place for residents to relax and play in the past before the MP office took over the open space as a private car park.
